Returns & Right of Withdrawal
Effective: 14.07.2026 · Last updated: 14.07.2026
Perishable and made-to-order food (pavlovas, cakes, cake pops) is exempt from the 14-day distance-selling withdrawal right under EU consumer law.
Unopened, sealed jar products (preserves) with a long shelf life may be returned within 14 days if unused and in original condition.
1. Perishable and made-to-order food
Important: Under Article 16(d) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and Estonian Law of Obligations Act § 53(4)(2), the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that may deteriorate or expire rapidly, nor to goods made to the consumer's specifications.
All baked goods from Krissu Kokkab (pavlovas, mini cakes, cake pops) are made fresh to your specific order and are perishable. They are therefore exempt from the 14-day withdrawal right. We say this clearly and kindly — it is a standard legal rule for fresh food, not something we invented.
By placing an order for fresh baked goods you confirm that you are aware of this exception and agree that the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply.
2. Sealed jar products (preserves)
Unopened jar products (salted caramel, caramelised onion, cranberry mustard) may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unused and in their original condition. To start a return, contact us by email. You are responsible for return postage unless the product is defective.
3. Defective or incorrect products
If you receive a product with a defect (damaged, incorrect item) or one that does not match your order, please contact us as soon as possible:
- Notify us within 2 months of discovering the defect. Complaint rights apply for 2 years from receipt.
- Send an email to kristina.jaanikesing@gmail.com with your order details, description of the issue and a photo.
- We will agree on a solution: replacement, redo or refund.
